Miss Teen International 2017!
Apologies for the late post folks, this week I have been honored to compete for the title of Miss Teen International, and I was fortunate enough to bring home the crown!
This journey has taken a lot of hard work and dedication, but I couldn't have done it without my amazing support system. My parents have been with me since the very beginning, and I honestly wouldn't have been able to achieve this without them. They were always there to motivate me when times got rough, and they taught me preparation and hard work is the key to success. My director, Samantha Riddle, has been an absolute blessing these past couple of months. She was available for any questions I had at any time, and she made sure all her girls were well prepared (and her hard work paid off when all 4 of us made the top 5 in our divisions!) Along with lending me clothes from her fabulous "Titleholder's Closet", Sam MADE my fun fashion because the girl who was supposed to send the dress to us never mailed it. On top of that, she stayed up late every night helping us on our walks, and skipped out on sleep to go with us to our hair and makeup appointments at 4am. I am so thankful to have had this support team behind me, which allowed me to feel relaxed, prepared, and confident in myself when I stepped off the plane in Charleston.
I am extremely excited to share my platform Literally Literacy on an international level! I have a lot planned for this year, as I only have 365 days to use this crown to advocate the importance of literacy and early education! Stay tuned to see what my sister queen aka Miss International 2017, Kelsey Craft, and I do throughout our year!
